St. Mark's plans Choral Evensong for Lent on Sunday, March 1

Join the choir of St. Mark's Episcopal Church for a service of Choral Evensong for Lent at 5PM on Sunday, March 1. The sung service of evening prayer offers an opportunity for reflection and contemplation.
Worship in the beauty of holiness as the choir sings the "Preces and Responses" of William Smith and Harold Friedell's setting of the "Evening Canticles in F."
The Choir will also offer Friedell's classic anthem "Jesus, So Lowly" as well as anthems by English composer Herbert Howells (O Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem) and Philip Wilby (If Ye Love Me.)
Come rest in the beauty of sung psalms, canticles, and anthems drawn from the rich Anglican choral tradition. Whether this is a long-time favorite or your very first Evensong, all are welcome.
