St. Mark's names new Director of Children's Ministry
Emma Davis to join the St. Mark’s staff.

We Have a New Director of Children's Ministry!
From Father James:
I am excited to share the news that I have asked Emma Davis to join the St. Mark’s staff as our Director of Children’s Ministry, and I am delighted that Emma has said yes. In this role, Emma will oversee the ongoing formation of our kids (birth through 5th grade), appropriate ways to serve others, and the continual building of friendships and relationships at St. Mark’s. Emma will oversee our nursery staff and ensure our annual events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, La Posada, and Rally Day still take place.
Our parish, I believe, over the last few years has witnessed our children’s and youth ministry grow at a rate we had not seen for many years prior. We owe much gratitude for the long-time and faithful ministry of Lauren Johnsen. What we are seeing today is fruit from Lauren’s service. I am confident that Emma will step into this ministry position and continue to lead well this vital part of our shared life at St. Mark’s.
While Emma is not new to St. Mark’s, please welcome her into this new position and continue your commitment to our youngest parishioners. Stay committed with your prayers, financial contributions, time, and presence. St. Mark’s is a church which remains on the move—we are not a church simply managing decline—but to remain on the move, we need everyone pitching in to help. It is a great time to be part of St. Mark’s, and with Emma’s help, we will continue to answer yes to what God calls of us here in Beaumont and Southeast Texas!
Faithfully,
Father James
