Come sing! Third annual Hymn Fest planned for Sept. 8

The Festival moves to Trinity UMC this year, while the St. Mark's organ undergoes restoration

You're invited to raise your voices in praise at the third annual Hymn Fest. The event will be hosted by Trinity United Methodist Church this year while the St. Mark's organ undergoes restoration. We're grateful to our friends at Trinity for graciously offering their beautiful sanctuary and lovely instrument.

The festival itself was conceived by Chris Richter, Dean of the Beaumont chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in 2022 as a way to bring area organists (and their congregations) together. This year, a half-dozen organists will be joined by choirs in leading a variety of hymns. From spirituals and American folk tunes - to German chorales and Anglican favorites - we've planned something for everyone. If you grew up singing in church and miss having that opportunity, this is a special chance to reconnect with some of your favorite melodies.

Hymn Fest is free, and a reception will follow. Please make plans to join us at 5PM on Sunday, September 8 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison, Beaumont. Hear your favorite hymns played by your favorite organists!
