I am pleased to announce that the Vestry of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Palestine, TX has called our curate, Fr. Justin Briggle, to serve as their next Rector.
Justin and his family – Dawn, Marcus and Oliver – have been a wonderful addition to St. Mark’s for the last two years and I know you join me in wishing them well in their continuing journey in service to the Church and the Lord.
Justin has been an outstanding colleague in ministry and has done great work at St. Mark’s. I’m confident he will continue the proud tradition of other St. Mark’s curates in the Diocese of Texas.
The Briggle family’s last Sunday with us will be Sunday, July 29th and Justin will begin his new responsibilities at St. Philip’s in early September.
We will bid farewell to Justin and his family on Sunday, July 29th with receptions after our 8 and 10:15 celebrations of the Holy Eucharist.
Your farewell gifts – cash, checks, gift cards and other tokens of your love and appreciation – should be given directly to Justin and his family.
Your checks, for example, should be made payable to Justin and NOT St. Mark’s. Look for a gift table at the receptions on the 29th.
Please pray for the Briggle’s – Justin, Dawn, Marcus and Oliver – as they continue this exciting transition in their lives.
