Frank Fuller Rector
The Reverend Frank Fuller, our rector, arrived at St. Mark’s only last December, coming from a the Church of the Good Shepherd in Corpus Christi. Having been a priest for more than 30 years, he is also married to a priest, the Rev. Betty Fuller, who is chaplain at All Saints’ Episcopal School in Beaumont. Frank also served churches in San Marcos and LaGrange, and previously was a chaplain at St. Elizabeth Hospital in D.C. The Fuller’s have two children. Frank enjoys escaping to the South Seas reading the Patrick O’Brien Aubrey/Maturin novels, exploring genealogy and playing computer games with 100,000 college students online; visit them at www.nationstates.net . He believes St. Mark’s is poised to become a growing church with a flair for mission around the world as well as reaching out to help neighbors close at hand. And he welcomes you to our midst! |

A. Dean Calcote Associate Rector

Since 1974 The Reverend Dean Calcote has been serving the people of St. Mark’s. As the Associate Rector he teaches, says the liturgy and provides pastoral care. He also serves the Diocese of Texas in a variety of ways and functions under the direction of the wardens in the absence of St. Mark’s rector. Dean is a native of Louisiana and graduate of Tulane University and the General Theological Seminary in New York City. He first served at St. Paul’s Church in New Orleans, All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg, MS, and Episcopal High School, Baton Rouge in LA, before coming to Beaumont where he served as headmaster of All Saints Episcopal School until 1998. He currently serves on the Diocesan Schools Commission, the Commission on Ministry, is the Examining Chaplain and the Christian Formation Commission of the Diocese of Texas. He is also on the Accreditation Committee of the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools and the executive board of the Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program. Dean has two children and three grandchildren. Dean likes to ride his bike and spend time with his family.

Jerome L. Wells Organist-Choirmaster
Formerly the Organist-Director of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church in Shreveport, Louisiana for eighteen years and also Organist-Director for B’nai Zion Temple in Shreveport for eleven years, Jerome came to St. Mark’s in 1994. Jerome is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana where he studied Organ with William C. Teague and later was Adjunct Professor of Music. He holds a Master of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he was a student of Robert Glasgow. In 1983, Jerome was a featured recitalist for The American Guild of Organists Regional Convention and in 1987 was honored as organist for their Opening Convocation. Jerome is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians and the American Guild of Organists. He currently serves by appointment of the Bishop on the Church Music Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. |

Hannah Overall
Youth Director In April 2008 Hannah became the permanent Youth Director after spending two years as St. Mark’s interim. She is responsible for the supervision of the youth activities for teens in grades 6 thru 12 and recruiting and training leaders for this ministry. She also assists the Christian education staff as requested. Hannah is a full-time student at Lamar University pursuing a degree in business management and pre-dental. She loves to play golf and enjoys having a good cup of coffee.

Kimberly McAtee Director of Children’s Ministry
Kimberly plans for, coordinates and supervises PreSchool (Pre-K and Kindergarten) and Primary (Grades 1-5) Sunday school, weekday programs and special parish events, including annual events like Advent wreathing making, the Easter Egg Hunt and Vacation Bible School. She is also the acting supervisor over the nursery staff. Kim loves the creativity her job affords her as well as watching children grow and learn in the Lord. In her free time, Kim, who is a native of Beaumont, is married and has two daughters, enjoys cooking, shopping and traveling. She has been working for St. Mark’s since 2001. Kim’s got great stories about God’s work in children at St. Mark’s.

Karen Hicks Parish Secretary She is the voice you hear when you call the church office and the first face you see when you round the corner to the foyer and if it’s a holiday she is likely to be wearing festive attire like bunny ears or a reindeer nose. She’s a native of Beaumont who coordinates and supervises the church office communications, special events, calendar and reports. She is responsible for membership records, including transfers and computer management of those records. She is a great cook, bike ride, golf and loves to travel. She met the Pope on a recent journey to Rome. |

Jan Blessing
Business Manager Starting in 1995 Jan counts and prepares deposits, records contributions, prepares payroll and accounts payable checks.She prepares financial reports and reconciliations. Jan also produces worship bulletins and does other duties as assigned. Jan loves dogs and has dog she rescued named Rudy. She watches Sci-Fi movies and loves the art on her office wall – masterpieces from her younger friends. Be sure and notice them and ask her about them and her “dots.”

Tim Conway
Head Sexton Tim began serving as a nighttime monk at St. Mark’s in 1988. Currently he holds the position of Head Sexton coordinating and supervising all the sextons and performing maintenance on the church facilities, grounds and hardware. He schedules repairs and oversees outside contractors. He also sets up for the day-to-day activities that occur at the church from bridge luncheons to AA meetings to parish-wide breakfast on Sundays. Tim also provides preparations for weddings, Wednesday night events and other special events has needed and assigned. When not working Tim likes to travel, grill great food and garden. He loves to tell the story of catching possums in the church with a fish net so ask him about that.

John Nelson Sexton St. Mark’s since 2002. He handles repairs of the building and does light
maintenance, run errands as needed and helps prepare for special church events. He works on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Nolan Thornal and Robert Ligon Assistant Sextons Both Nolan and Robert began assisting the church sextons in 2006 by helping with special events and handling the cleaning of assigned areas and other work as needed.

George Main Friday Morning Ministry Coordinator George oversees both the pantry and Friday morning activities, including purchasing, transport, assisting in preparation and distribution of food supplies. He also completes the record keeping for the food pantry, conducts services for the Friday Morning Ministry participants and represents the parish on community boards. George started work with St. Mark’s in 2003 about also works at Henry’s Place four days a week. He loves bicycling and takes old bikes and repairs them for those who need them. George also cooks for the Thursday morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast. |

Marcia Perrine Assistant/Organist/Choir Director
Marcia is the principal organist for St. Mark’s early Sunday service and she is the substitute for the Organist/Choirmaster. She is the assistant director as needed for other services and accompanies the children’s choir as needed. |

Melissa E. Martinez Nursery Supervisor Melissa began with St. Mark’s in 2006 and cares for the wee Episcopalians in our congregation by supervising the nursery on Sundays, Wednesdays and other times as needed.
Tiffany Hoffman Nursery Worker Tiffany works with Melissa to provide care for little people ages 0-3 years old. She has worked at St. Mark’s since 2006.

Shelly Vitanza Communications Coordinator Shelly compiles content daily for St. Mark’s communications including the website, the Revelation, the Weekly Word and the E-Lation. She assists in designing and writing promotional pieces as well as advertisements and banners. Shelly works part-time, is a member of St. Mark’s, is married and has one son. She loves to write, cook and read. |
