Vestry Member of the Day
Each Sunday a Vestry member will serve St. Mark's in variety of ways including, monitoring temperature, the sound system, counting attendees, helping parishioners and answering questions. This week's Vestry member is Allan Nichol. To see the schedule of members click here.

E-Giving

Some Other Place
The 6th annual Tasting for Some Other Place will be Tuesday, August 19. St.Mark's will have a booth serving its famous chili and St. Mark's Treasure House will have a "Just Cookies" booth. To read how you can get involved in this fun and worthwhile event, click here.

Movie Thursdays
Every Thursday in July Children's Ministries will show a movie, have a devotion and a snack from 9:30 - 12:00 p.m. Call by 3:00 p.m. the Wednesday before to reserve your child's spot.

Traveling Eucharist: Ethridge Farm
Eat, chat and celebrate at St. Mark's final traveling Eucharist for the summer out at Ethridge Farm in Silsbee. It will be a great time of worship, fellowship and food. Wednesday, August 20. Get a map here.

Treasure House News
VOLUNTEER TALK
We need cash register volunteers. PLEASE find time in your schedules to spend a few hours with the Treasure House every month. Thank you to our newest volunteers: MARY LEDYARD, MARIANNE HARKRIDER, CINDY HARLAND, MARSHA WALL, BETTY BIDDLE, CONNIE SMITH, AND SANDY FARNSWORTH. CUTTERS NEEDED
We have a huge pile of fabric to be measured...is that something you can do for us? We can teach you if you don't know how. OR, are you good at organizing? We have hundreds of new sewing patterns that could use a little organization. Please call Karen or Ellen at 832-0253.
DONATIONS NEEDED
The Treasure House accepts everything EXCEPT computers. The ideal donation is clean and works. We need men's clothing, particularly jeans and pants or consider donating buttons, wine corks, knick knacks, furniture, perfume, videos, jewelry...

Soul Food Retreat
Sept.12-14: Annual "Soul food" Retreat at Camp Allen will be held for persons in recovery, their families, friends and clergy or for those who simply may want to learn what "recovery" looks like and how one comes by it. The cost is $125 per person and includes room, board and program. For more information, contact the Rev. Don Legge.

| Taize Service Scheduled for August
The annual Taize service at the Holy Family Retreat Center will be Sunday, August 17, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. There will be rehearsals at St. Mark's prior to the service. The rehearsal for soloists will be July 24 at 7:00 p.m. Two rehearsals for the choir will be July 31 and August 14 at 7:00 p.m.

July 25-27: Summer Camp for Moms Adventure, Renewal, Relaxation. Make your weekend as adventurous, relaxing, or creative as you want. Experience activities such as canoeing, nature walks, rock climbing, swimming, trail rides, skeet shooting, scrap booking, cooking classes, pottery and more! | Exhibit Help Needed at Diocesean Art Show
Sylvia Weir and Kathleen Boudreaux will exhibit their art Oct. 3 & 4
with 55 other artists from the Diocese at St. Martin's Church at the Diocese art show. Volunteers are needed to assist the artist, since the exhibiting artists will be involved at their
